For the sixth rendition of our “employee spotlight” series, we caught up with Emmanuel Akagu to learn more about his role and experience with Thinaer. Emmanuel has been at the company for close to 1-year now and serves as the Supply Chain Operations Manager.

Q: How long have you been with Thinaer? Have you always been in this particular role?
I’m coming up on my 1 year anniversary! In October it will have been a year since I joined Thinaer as the Supply Chain Operations Manager.
Q: How would you describe your role? What are your responsibilities?
I get to manage the supply chain process by controlling inventory management, purchasing, production, distribution, vendor management and continuous improvement, all while delivering smiles to our customers by ensuring on-time delivery.
Q: What exciting projects have you been working on lately?
I am currently working on improving our supply chain strategies and processes to better serve our customers. We’ve made some great advancements so far and I look forward to seeing how we progress.
Q: How would you say your role helps your fellow team members and/or customers?
My role helps provide all teams an understanding pertaining to order capabilities, customer lead times, production lead times etc. Like I mentioned before too, I try to deliver smiles to our customers by ensuring on-time delivery of our products.
Q: What do you love most about working for Thinaer?
I love the culture and the opportunities available for self and career development. I am constantly learning new things from colleagues and I’m highly motivated by the impact our products are making in the IoT industry at large.
Q: What have you learned since starting at Thinaer, personally and professionally?
Being in an environment filled with great minds and smart individuals at Thinaer has taught me a lot about technology in the IoT industry which I wasn’t really exposed to before. There isn’t any other place I would rather be than this awesome team.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching scary movies, and managing my business.
